This article explores the creation of an eXtensible Markup Language (XML) schema capable of storing music information, such as note, tempo, and chord data.  Once the XML schema has been defined, documents written in this format can be transformed using the eXtensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) into potentially any form of music output.  This article is a work-in-progress, being revised constantly as the XML application is developed, tested, and reviewed.
