Roger's choice on marketing the iPhone is amazing - I can't believe that they'd think for a second that anyone who would be remotely interested in getting one doesn't already know that Rogers will have it on July 11th.

Why are they doing this? I have a bad feeling about this - I think they are using the teaser-type of marketing because they *don't* want anyone to see what the plans will be like until the iPhone is available and the crush to get one is at it's peak. I've seen estimates around $90/mth, but what if it's much higher, and people sign up for say $120/mth, locked into a 3-year contract?

I hope the real question to come out of this becomes: how will Tony Lacavera market the iPhone in Canada?

@James: Will do. I'm going to take Rev. Dan's advice and change the "freaking" to "fracking" and let my BSG freak flag (frack flag?) fly - my wife, the professional copywriter, had suggested the same thing. Silly me for not listening.

Good one ;)

Sadder still is that the "learn more" button links to a arbitrary list of press releases.

Fail.

What boggles the mind, is that there is absolutely nothing on the fido site. I.e. the brand that's supposed to put a cool face on a lame carrier that hasn't (traditionally) given a shit about your avg consumer.

I think I'll keep my HTC Touch, and 30/mo unlimited data plan from Telus.

I have a feeling that July 11 is going to be very amusing ;)

The only way your excellent ad could have be any better would be to use the word "Fracking" instead of "Freaking." Let your true BSG-enhanced freak flag fly!
